Ⅰ. The Eligibility of the Scholarship
1. Non-Chinese citizens;
2. Abide by the laws and regulations of China and the rules and regulations of the schools;
3. In good physical and mental conditions, and with a good record of academic performance and conduct;
4. Aspiring to work in the Chinese language education and related fields;
5. Aged between 16 and 35 (as of 1st September, 2025), with the age limit of 45 for applicants currently working as Chinese language teachers and that of 25 for undergraduate student applicants.
Ⅱ. Scholarship Programs and Qualifications for Application
1. Scholarship for Master's Degree in International Chinese Language Education
· The program commences in September 2025 and provides scholarship for a maximum of two academic years；
· Applicants shall hold a Bachelor's degree;
· Applicants shall have a minimum score of 210 on the HSK Test (Level 5) as well as 60 on the HSKK test (Intermediate Level);
· Priority will be given to applicants who may provide a work contract with a teaching institution upon completing their studies in China or a proof to the same effect.
2. Scholarship for Bachelor's Degree in International Chinese Language Education
· The program commences in September 2025 and provides scholarship for a maximum of four academic years;
· Applicants shall hold a senior high school diploma;
· Applicants shall have a minimum score of 210 on the HSK Test (Level 4) as well as 60 on the HSKK test (Intermediate Level).
3. Scholarship for One-Academic-Year Study
· The program commences in September 2025 and provides scholarship for a maximum of eleven months;
· International students who have benefited from similar scholarships are not eligible;
· For the area of Chinese Language Study, applicants shall have a minimum score of 210 on the HSK test (Level 3). Priority will be given to applicants who provide an HSKK test score.
4. Scholarship for One-Semester Study
· The programme commences in September 2025, and provides scholarship for a maximum of five months;
· Applicants holding the X1 or X2 visa are not eligible;
· Applicants shall have a minimum score of 180 on the HSK test (Level 3) , and an HSKK test score is required.

Ⅳ. Application Procedures
1. Log on the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship application website cis.chinese.cn to search for recommending Institution and host institution：Central China Normal University and submit application online;
2. Log on Central China Normal University’s application website https://ccnu.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx and submit application online;
3. Track the application progress, comments and results;
4. Scholarship holders need to confirm with the host institutions to go through the procedures of studying in China, and print out the scholarship certificate online;
5. Register at Central China University on the designated date as per the letter of admission.
Ⅴ. Application Documents
All the following documents should be in high quality scanned copy :
1. Passport copy (first two pages);
2. Highest degree (diploma or study certificate);
3. Transcripts;
4. HSK certificate、HSKK certificate;
5. Recommendation letter from recommendation agency;
6. In-service Chinese teachers must attach a certificate of employment and a letter of recommendation issued by their employment institution
7. Applicants under the age of 18 must submit a certificate of entrustment signed by guardians in China.

VI. About Chinese Language Teachers and Winners of the Chinese Bridge Competition
1.Chinese Language Teachers Chinese language teachers applying for various scholarships can provide a certificate of employment and a letter of recommendation issued by the employing institution, and will be given priority for admission under the same conditions.
2.Winners of the Chinese Bridge Competition Winners of the “International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship Certificate” in various Chinese Bridge competitions can log in to the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship website and submit application materials to the target receiving colleges with the scholarship certificate.

VII. Others
1.One-semester and one-year research programs generally do not admit applicants who have received similar scholarships within 3 years.
2.Applicants must provide true, complete, and valid application materials. Any falsification will result in disqualification upon verification.
3.Scholarship qualifications will be revoked in cases of failure to pass the medical examination upon enrollment, withdrawal from school, failure to report on time without permission, or suspension of studies.
